Job Title: Maximo Project Manager

Location: Remote (client located in Houston, TX)

Duration: 6-12 Months



Manager Expectations:

Can be remote, but they will have to travel 10 to 15% maybe a touch more. This is a very visible and high-level position and they would've had to have done multiple Maximo implementations and upgrades.



Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager (PMP Certified) to lead large-scale enterprise projects with a primary focus on IBM Maximo and MAS 9 implementations and upgrades. This individual will play a critical role in managing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex Maximo-based EAM solutions across the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.



Key Responsibilities:

Lead the upgrade and implementation of IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 9), including containerized deployment on Red Hat Open Shift.
Manage full project lifecycle - planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, business SMEs, system integrators, and vendors.
Oversee project budgets, schedules, scope, and quality assurance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, KPIs, and delivery milestones.
Ensure compliance with IT governance, security policies, and industry standards (e.g., NERC/CIP).
Drive user training, change management, and post-go-live support strategies.
Utilize Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies as appropriate.



Qualifications:

PMP Certification (required)
10+ years of experience in IT Project Management
5+ years of hands-on experience managing IBM Maximo projects
Proven experience managing a Maximo Application Suite (MAS 9) upgrade or implementation
Familiarity with asset management processes in energy, utilities, or public infrastructure
Strong understanding of system integrations (GIS, SAP, SCADA, Oracle, etc.)
Experience with Agile/Scrum practices and tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
