Job Description:

The Department of Veterans Affairs Houston Healthcare System is seeking full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) to join our team in Houston, TX at Michael E. DeBakey Medical Center. The CRNA will perform pre-anesthesia evaluations, prepare anesthesia plans, deliver all forms of anesthesia and follow up on all general anesthesia cases. CRNA will administer inhalation, regional, intravenous, local and topical anesthetics and continuously evaluates the patient's physical status and responses to anesthesia.Work Schedule: Day and Evening shifts available. Will participate in 2 nd call coverage (weekends and holidays.)Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen ( will consider non- citizen candidates )
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
• Certified/Board Eligible (Preferred)
• Extensive training/experience with thoracic, cardiac (including open heart) and robotic cases, vascular, neurosurgery anesthesia and training and familiarity in regional anesthesia. (Preferred)We offer:
