Location: Sealy, TX
Schedule: 1st Shift M-F
Type: Contract to Hire

Responsibilities: Perform the daily operations of the Quality Labs including all quality testing, auditing, and inspection activities in order to assure quality of products and fulfill customer and market requirements.
Maintain a safe and clean work area. Insure that the laboratories are always "tour ready".
Organize laboratories and manage all laboratory supplies ensuring adequate quantities of consumables.
Perform daily quality testing of raw materials and finished goods of dry powders
Perform daily quality testing of raw materials and finished goods of liquids to support Admixture plant.
Prepare lab scale formulas per recipe. Mix and cast samples per standards.
Maintain accurate QC results to analyze data, identify problematic trends and product quality performance
Together with plant management, communicate with production team on product quality issues and adjustments required.
Communicate with plant management and R&D about product quality issues and keep records of changes/improvements taken.
Audit and update company local quality procedures and batch sheets.
Assist R&D teams in developing new products and production scale up.
Prepare reports or memos on assigned tasks or projects.
Maintain lab equipment by performing preventative maintenance and calibration checks.
Operate a forklift when needed to assist production team and access materials for testing.
Attend all company provided training programs.
Complete all additional tasks and projects as assigned by plant management.
Work with a safety team to maintain safety standards

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. BS degree in Chemistry is preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality control position or lab preferred
Experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
Capable of lifting up to 80lbs on a daily basis.
Experience measuring pH, specific gravity, viscosity, and solids. Experience using a halogen moisture analyzer, titrator, and viscometer preferred.
Experience in testing powders and running sieve tests. Preferred experience in concrete and mortar testing.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of SAP is a plus.
Willing to do non-routine work to promote safety and production.
